Long ago, we spent a large part of our days foraging for food. Now our next meal is only a supermarket away. With such easy access to so much, we tend to overstock our shelves, throwing food away before we even get a chance to eat it. To counter this waste, Lars Janzee designed a smart storage system and linked app that monitors use-by dates, measures dwindling supplies and even comes up with recipe suggestions based on in-house ingredients, sparing a trip to the shop altogether. In this way, ‘Forage’ can save time, money and food. After all, these are simply too valuable to squander.
